Coronation Street Experience – Star Tours

Where: Manchester

When: Weekends and bank holidays

What: A long list of Corrie legends from Dame Maureen Lipman to Andy Whyment have graced the set’s Star Tours in the past so who could you meet this May? Coronation Street’s iconic cobbles are open for guided tours of the nation’s favourite street meaning fans can pay a visit to locations including the Rovers Return and Roy’s Rolls, or upgrade to meet a cast member. The Coronation Street Exhibition is also open every day to take a trip down memory lane.

Oxford Castle & Prison – Knight School

Where: Oxford

When: Every day from Monday 28th July to Friday 22nd August

 

What: This summer, join Oxford’s Knight School, which returns for another year. Don your armour, sharpen your sword and prepare to set out on a quest. Join us in the Castleyard for medieval weapons training, jousting and archery – all under the supervision of the Castle’s knights. Once you’ve been trained, you will be knighted and presented with your own sword to take home – all against the backdrop of the 1,000-year-old Castle & Prison.

York’s Chocolate Story – Summer Family Masterclasses

When: Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 22nd July until 27th August

 

What: Indulge in a sweet summer at York’s Chocolate Story with an exclusive family masterclass, providing a unique opportunity to become a chocolatier and create an array of tasty chocolate treats under the expert guidance of our chocolatiers. Handcraft six delightful summer ganache-filled mini-truffles and personalise your own chocolate lolly as part of the immersive experience. Plus, why not also sample a Classic Guided Tour to dive into the delicious, 4,000-year history of chocolate in York?

The Loch Ness Centre – Hamish McHaggis: A Story & Brunch

What: Enjoy a very special celebration of the iconic Hamish McHaggis in his 20th anniversary year. Hear an exclusive reading from award-winning children’s author Linda Strachan inside The Loch Ness Centre, as she brings one of Hamish’s enchanting tales to life – a story that features the magical setting of Loch Ness itself. The Real Mary King’s Close – Closes & Coffee: Brewed in History

Where: Edinburgh

When: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until August 30th

 

What: Step into centuries of hidden stories with Closes & Coffee, a brand-new immersive experience in partnership with The Lost Close. Start your morning with a guided tour of an 18th-century coffee house once frequented by Enlightenment thinkers, followed by freshly brewed coffee from Common Coffee. Then, descend into the preserved streets beneath the Royal Mile at The Real Mary King’s Close to hear the real stories of Edinburgh’s past residents.

Emmerdale Village Tour – Star Tours

Where: Leeds

When: Weekends and bank holidays

 

What: Step into the heart of Emmerdale, where some of TV’s most dramatic moments have unfolded. Walk in the footsteps of the Dingles, Sugdens and Tates around the external Emmerdale Village Tour set, located in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside. Pose outside iconic landmarks like The Woolpack and David’s Shop, and learn about the secrets behind the idyllic filming location before mingling with a surprise cast member and grabbing that all-important selfie.

Spinnaker Tower – Discover the View
